Aidos Sadykov

One of the chairmen of the Social Liberal Party of Kazakhstan “Zhusan”. Kazakh opposition leader and former political prisoner. He began his opposition activity in the early 2000s in the first ranks of the united Kazakh opposition DVK (Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan). He was a member of the central council of the united organisation of opposition forces KYC (For Fair Kazakhstan). During presidential and parliamentary elections in 2005 and 2007, he headed the headquarters of the Kazakh political opposition.

Ahmed Alikhadjiev

Starting at the age of 18, from 1989 to 1991, he served the two-year compulsory military service in the armed forces of the Soviet Union. From 1992 to 1994, Akhmed lived in Moscow, where he tried his own business enterprise. At the eve of the first Russo-Chechen war (1994 – 1996), Mr Alikhadjiev moved back to Chechnya and joined the ranks of the defenders of his motherland from Russian invaders. He did not participate in the so-called second Russo-Chechen. In the period of 1997-1999 Akhmed lived in Chechnya and was engaged in some business enterprise. From 1999 to 2003, together with his family and relatives, Akhmed Alikhadjiev lived on the territory of neighbouring Ingushetia. Maksym Iali

Since 2014, Maksym Iali is a senior research fellow at the Institute of World History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He is also an assistant – consultant to a Member of Ukrainian Parliament since 2015.

In 2014 – 2015 he worked at the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights / OSCE in Election Observation Missions to Ukraine during  Presidential,  Parliamentary , and Local Elections. Continue reading “Maksym Iali”

Olga Kurnosova

1990-1993 – a member of St.Petersburg (Leningrad) City Council 2005-2013. One of the opposition leaders in St.Petersburg. Organized the Dissenters’ marches and the marches of millions.

Co-founder of the United Civic Front (a member of the federal bureau) and the “Solidarnost” movement (a member of the federal bureau).

In early 2014 together with fellow activists, she founded the Maidan Solidarity Committee  since October 2014  transformed into Russian Anti-War Movement. Lives in Kyiv in exile
