Since 2014, Maksym Iali is a senior research fellow at the Institute of World History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He is also an assistant – consultant to a Member of Ukrainian Parliament since 2015.
In 2014 – 2015 he worked at the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights / OSCE in Election Observation Missions to Ukraine during Presidential, Parliamentary , and Local Elections.
2007-2014 – Senior Research Fellow (2008-2014), Junior Research Fellow (2007-2008) at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Department of Transatlantic Researches (2009-2014), Department of Global Systems of Modern Civilization (2007-2009).
2007 – Ph.D. in Political Sciences (Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine).
Maksym Iali received his Master’s degree in Foreign Policy at the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (2003). In 2001, he graduated from Mariupol Institute of Humanities of the Donetsk State University (Philologist, teacher of English and Greek).
Research interests: geopolitics, the foreign policy of the US, Russia, Ukraine, EU and China, the Theory of international relations, world history, globalization, informational and civil society.
